GUY BLACKMAN TOUR DATES
Guy Blackman, the "everywhere 'It Boy' of the Melbourne indie scene" (according to a recent review in Beat) launches his debut solo album Adult Baby with full band in tow, including strings, horns and vibes. This amazing album (recently awarded the RRR Album of the Week accolade), is the result of almost three years of steadfast toil, a huge production number with a host of special guests lending a hand. 23/04/08 2 New Releases!!
2 exciting releases are coming out on UAR. First up is the debut solo album from Guy Blackman - "Adult Baby". Guy comes to the label with a host of musical history, Sleepy Township and Minimum Chips are just two of the much-loved bands that have benefited his musical touch. Flying solo for the first time on his self released EP "Guy Blackman In Japan", Guy portrayed a strong knack for soft intricate ballad compositions often recalling Brian Wilson and Tim Hardin. For his debut full length, Guy has opened the studio doors wide and let in seemingly half of the local indie-scene to add colour to his compositional pallette.
Then forthcoming in June is the new album from Jane Badler. Jane is well known to sci-fi nerds across the globe as Diana from the mini-series "V", but she is also quite an accomplished vocalist, having already recorded an album of Jazz standards that featured local legend Paul Grabowsky. For her new album, "The Devil Has My Double", Jane teams up with local band SIR for an album of specifically composed songs portraying the life and fate of a charmed life that's lost its charm.

31/10/07 Spider Vomit "Widow's Walk" EP Out Now
Spider Vomit's debut EP "Widow's Walk" is out now. Here is a little of what Mess and Noise had to say about it:
"Spider Vomit are heavy. Like 70s downers that are now illegal, they take the torque out of everything. Even when they get all Sonic Youth on it, there's still a fearsome shudder to this Melbourne quintet. Widow's Walk is their debut EP and it's all kinds of fascinating." Zulya's fantastic album new album "3 Nights" was recently released through UAR to the acclaim of critics worldwide. Not only has it spent upward of 4 months in the Top 10 of the European World Music Charts, but it is our pleasure to announce that this fanastic release just took out this year's Aria for "Best World Music". Congratulations!
