The second release from Melbourne based duo Sir shows both a progression yet retains the restrained sense of space and delivery that made their first album so special. Trapped, sees Sir bring in ex-Paradise Motel member Matt Bailey to augment on bass duties. Vocalist Elizabeth Downey evokes images of an ultra-laconic Hope Sandoval, which sits perfectly over the textured soundscapes created by Jess Jackson Shepherd. Their music has been described by the Detroit Metro Times as "something beyond naked; it's utterly bone chilling".
