A Tribute to the Australian Rock Underground (1963-1968)
UAR035 CD
Released: 2002

Wild Sounds, car crashes, pep pills, exploding amps, bloodied noses, jealous boyfriends, drug busts and arrests!

All these and more were just regular facts of life for the average Australian Rhythm and Blues band of the mid 1960s. Despite these obstacles, or perhaps because of them, a number of home-grown acts came to epitomise the down and dirty sound and attitude of Antipodean Garage Rock, a style that continues to inspire to this day.

Wild About You! documents and celebrates the music and styles of the past whilst highlighting the efforts of Melbourne's latter day garage rockers.

The CD - 17 of Melbourne's modern day garage/indie rock bands pay tribute to their Australian rock' n' roll forebears, with a cover of an underground classic. Recorded live (without overdubs) at Community Radio station 3CR (855AM).
