Bird Blobs "Bird Blobs"
UAR039 CD
Released: 2005-07-04

Bird Blobs second full lengther comes at a crucial time in their four year existence. Installing a new rhythm section post the release of their last CD has swung the balance in favour of a mutant post-punk disco sound, yet still retaining their outsider blues angles. The new album collects together 10 tracks recorded onto 2-inch at Woodstock with US engineer Casey Rice (Tortoise, Liz Phair), and later mixed by Simon Grounds (Rocket Science, Venom P. Stinger).

From the brutal punching opening track 'Billy' (a long time live favourite), thru the first single 'If I Could Kill', the driving garage-blues of 'Settle Down and Breed' and the most inbred strands of disco rhythms on 'Nothing at All'... it is clear a new law is being laid down. Uncompromising, vicious and destructive, Bird Blobs are on the map.
