Jane Badler with SIR "The Devil Has My Double"
UAR059 CD
Released: 2008-06-01
Unstable Ape is proud to present The Devil Has My Double, the new solo album by Hollywood glamour icon Jane Badler. The album is a compulsive mix of fame, sex and solitude, set to a sweeping soundtrack of cold soul and passionate synthetics. The Devil Has My Double is a tale of too much, too long - how a charmed life has a price that eventually must be paid.
Lyrically and musically, the album reflects Jane’s remarkable life and career, from her initial public notoriety as Miss New Hampshire in the 1972 Miss America pageant, to her long and varied career in Hollywood B films and television.
Jane appeared weekly on American television from 1976 to 1989, including roles in the classic daytime soap One Life To Live, Fantasy Island, as the seductive kidnapper of Alex Baldwin’s baby in The Doctors, and Kim Novak's virtuous adversary in Falcon’s Crest. Jane is best remembered, however, for her portrayal of sexually-charged villain Diana in the cult sci-fi classic V. In 2004, Jane was voted one of Science Fiction's 25 Greatest Legends by American TV Guide.
Jane began her professional singing career singing at the Playboy Club in Manhattan in the mid seventies, and after years of performing, finally releases an album of original songwriting, informed by the glamorous twists and turns of her own life story.
On The Devil Has My Double, Jane is backed by Melbourne underground sleaze combo Sir. The album comes 12 months after Sir's critically acclaimed album The Brando Room, also released by Unstable Ape.
